I've always had the creative spirit of an artist & have dabbled in everything from painting to writing and everything in-between, trying to find my creative niche. The two constants in my life have always been my life-long love affair with horses, and the need in me to create. I've combined these passion before in both my painting & my writing, but they have now taken me down a different path.

I love things that sparkle! Many months ago I started this journey just so I could create for my own horse, to give her pieces of art that were worthy of her beauty. But, inspiration & motivation from other directions have led me to share my art with others. I originally made a few pieces for my horse, and then made a few as presents for friends. After rave reviews from friends, and realizing how much I enjoyed creating these pieces of art, I decided to embark on this journey.

I hope these rare pieces bring you as much joy as they have me, in the creating of my own version of couture for your horse!

When I started making browbands, our cat, Mirabella was immediately intrigued by the sparklies! In the beginning, she would get excited and try to bat my crystals around whenever I would work...after me telling her no several times...she finally learned she wasn't to mess with the crystals. But, she wanted to be near me, so when I would set up and work on browbands, she would sit on the table practically on top of my stuff...in the midst of crystals, browbands, thread, etc and just snooze - always keeping one eye on what I was doing and every once in awhile "helping" with her paw. We sadly lost Mirabella in March 2008...and it was a little hard to make browbands after that.

It's funny how God knows what we need before we do.  We were blessed with several kittens this spring. Many, who we gave to loving homes...but three that will live with us forever. They'll never take her place, but it's amazing how they have helped to ease the pain.

Every time I make a browband, I am reminded of my beautiful Mira, and a little piece of my love for her goes into each browband I make. I dedicate my business to my baby girl...who loved the sparkle as much as I did and felt it her duty to help. We love you Mirabella...we will never forget you.
